To the President of the Republic of Albania, Dr.Rexhep Mejdani,
I am honored to be writing to you for the first time. As a representative of the Japan-Albania Association.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on your assumption to office as President of Albania.
Certain members of the Japan Albania Association had the honor to visit your wonderful country and in return we have had the pleasure of an exchange of dignitories from Albania.
The exchange has allowed us to experience various ideas, cultures and the establish numerous long lasting friendships which we hope to be able to continue.
The Japan Albania Association was inaugurated on the 5th of April 1997 in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. It has approximately eighty current members consisting of a wide range of society from scholars involved in the research and study of Albania, to employees from some of Japan’s leading companies such as Mitsui Co. Ltd. and Toto. Ltd. The Association aims to further exchanges with Albanian Japanese Friendship Association in the fields of Arts, Science, Economics and Culture.
We also wish to establish economic relations with the business sector of Albania. I sincerely hope that the relationship between our two countries will be a strong and long-lasting one, and that with your support our association’s endeavor to further exchanges between Japan and Albania will be enhanced in the future.
